Common questions
- How is Kras AI different from a consultancy that only advises?
- We build and operate AI systems ourselves, so our advice is informed by real experience with models, infrastructure, reliability and cost. When we recommend an approach or estimate what it takes to build, we are drawing on systems we have already taken into production.
- Do you take on projects that have no AI in them?
- Yes. We build customer-facing applications, internal tools, cloud platforms, data systems and integrations. If AI would not materially improve the outcome, we will say so rather than add it where it does not belong.
- Can you work inside our cloud and pass our security review?
- Yes. Where your policy requires it, systems can be built and deployed inside your own cloud account with least-privilege access, and we work to your review process. Our data-handling approach is designed to support the security requirements of enterprise teams.
- Who owns what you build for us?
- Ownership, licensing and the treatment of any pre-existing components are agreed in the contract before work starts. You will know exactly what transfers to you and what does not before development begins.
- How do you handle our data and confidentiality?
- We use NDAs, data isolation and least-privilege access, with deployment inside your environment where required. Data handling and access are designed around the sensitivity of the system and your organisation's policies.
- Which stacks and models do you work with?
- On the engineering side: TypeScript, React and Next.js, React Native, Node and Python, Postgres and other data stores, running on AWS, GCP or Azure with Docker, Terraform and CI/CD. On the AI side we are model-agnostic, selecting frontier, open-weight, vision or speech models based on quality, cost, latency and data residency.
- How long does a typical project take?
- Discovery typically takes 1-2 weeks, validation 2-4 weeks, and a production build around 6-12 weeks depending on scope and integrations. You see working software early rather than waiting until the end.
- What happens after go-live?
- You get monitoring, cost controls, runbooks and a documented handover so your own team can operate the system. Where you would rather we stay involved to run and extend it, we can continue supporting the product.
